Very loud but lovely and delicious place with a menu with many global influences added into the options. We had dropped a fork and a waiter immediately came with another one before we even picked up the fallen fork! It made for a very magical moment. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and suited everyone’s tastes. Would definitely recommend for a fun outing!

Enjoy coming to this restaurant. I ordered the lamb dish which is what they are known for. Huge portions, can definitely be shared with someone. It would be nice to order this, and something else a bit smaller and share with your friend. We sat in the round booth with red chairs. So it was really cozy, and good size to chat with everyone around the table. Very nice atmosphere that's not too loud, which is appreciated. So easy to chat with people. Other people ordered ahi tuna, tofu, mussels, and other dishes. I also had a glass of chardonnay. So it was a very pleasant evening songstress new friends and acquaintances. The server was really friendly and polite.

Chambar is absolutely buzzing right now, just before the Bruno Mars concert, and the service has been exceptional! One name to remember: Conor, the fantastic bartender! He recommended the food for my husband and me, and we trusted his choices immediately — what a great decision! He somehow manages to remember everyone’s name, even in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Conor is professional, warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stand out. Amazing service, great recommendations, and a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend Chambar, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Conor, you’re in great hands! The whole team rocks! Check the photos… the best cheesecake . Conor is on the first photo, Bryan on the second and Jeremy on the third.

This is one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want to share this secret. Note that the wait can be long, especially for larger groups but it’s more than worth it. The service is exceptional. Drinks, cocktails and coffee are some of the best I’ve ever had. The menu has so many good options. The waffles are a must! Along with their special sauces. My favourite dish is the lamb meatballs with eggs. Such good flavours and the right amount of sauce. Eggs cooked to perfection. Melissa was an excellent bartender and provided outstanding service.

If you have never been, don't! They are too good to share. The food was so amazing. The service was warm and genuine. And the atmosphere had just enough kitsch without being cliche. Our table had the salmon fume, fricassee, and les boulettes, along with some wonderful lattes. We tried thier liege waffles and yes, the are worth the hype and need no toppings. Would I come back here? 100% yes!

Hey, I thought Turkey was where East met West! I didn’t realize it was as easy as sprinkling some seaweed on fries and a hot dog and adding some yuzu to lemonade. If I was less cultured, I wouldn’t care about the hyperbolic claim but being such a refined sophisticate means I can’t let this go without a touch of protest.

Had a lovely Sunday brunch at Earls today! The shakshuka was absolutely delicious, the salad was fresh and filling, and the sandwich was juicy and flavourful. A special thank you to Kelly for her wonderful service and lovely energy at our table. She gave great recommendations, was very attentive, and made sure to carefully consider all allergies. She truly made our time there extra enjoyable. Special thanks to Sophie as well, they were both there whenever we needed anything and even provided paper and a pen so I could enjoy a little creative writing moment during brunch. Such thoughtful service!

Came by for a birthday of a friend with the intention of ordering off the Happy Hour menu. Decent amount of options available to choose from. Ordered the ebi fritters, chicken karage, ingen fries, kaisen soba, oshi sampler, and the bluefin and champagne rolls. The ebi and chicken karage were great. The sauce that came with it, and also with the ingen fries, was really good. The kaisen soba was tasty, but probably the one we would not be as keen to order again. The oshi sampler with the various aburi rolls was great as we expected. I really enjoyed both the bluefin and champagne rolls. Definitely an elevated type of roll with subtle flavours. We finished off with the full dessert platter. The green tea opera was the favourite of the four. We loved how deep the matcha flavour of the ice cream was in particular. The coconut cheesecake and earl gray panna cotta were very nice as well. Very tasty and elegant desserts. I don't normally note service, but our waitress for the evening was fantastic. Really made our night checking in and chatting with us. The atmosphere was great for Happy Hour. Very bright and not overwhelmingly noisy. We had a great time and really enjoyed our experience.

Came here for my birthday and did not leave disappointed! ❤️ Love everything about Minami— food, service, & atmosphere was incredible! All the dishes here were amazing, especially the salmon aburi sushi. So fresh & flavourful. Also loved the Chirashi Tart— it was incredibly filling and reminded me of a sushi cake! 🍣 I also enjoyed the cozy ambience! Great for date nights or family/friend hangouts. Highly recommend going during happy hour 3-5PM for great deals. Our server Zoe was wonderful— super attentive & kind!! 😊 She made the experience that much more amazing.

Minami is one of my favourite spots for contemporary Japanese cuisine. They offer plenty of excellent cooked dishes, making it a great option even for those who aren't into raw seafood. The must-orders for me are the Aburi Salmon Oshi (still my favourite), the Aburi Chicken Karaage, and the Ebi Fritters. Their cocktails and mocktails are also fantastic and pair really well with the food. The sashimi, sushi rolls, and Aburi Iwate A5 Wagyu Steak are all solid, though I wouldn't say they're particularly unique compared to other Japanese restaurants. That said, the overall quality and consistency of the menu make it a place I always enjoy coming back to. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. Parking in the lot out front is usually difficult to find, so I'd recommend looking for street parking nearby. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, Minami is a spot that's well worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The food was incredible — fresh, beautifully prepared, and very high quality. Everything we had was delicious. What really made the evening stand out, though, was our server. She was phenomenal! So professional, genuinely friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I have celiac disease, and she went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely comfortable. She explained every dish as it came to the table, knew all of the ingredients, and knew exactly what I could and couldn’t safely eat. I never once felt like I had to worry or keep asking questions. It honestly felt like we had our own personal server taking care of us all night. She made us feel so welcome and completely spoiled! Fantastic food, exceptional service, and such a wonderful experience for our Anniversary dinner. We will absolutely be back!

Blue Water Cafe remains the gold standard for seafood in Vancouver. The atmosphere in Yaletown is upscale, vibrant, and perfect for a special night out. The sushi from the raw bar was incredibly fresh, and the miso-sake glazed sablefish was cooked to absolute perfection. A huge thank you to our server, Melissa, who made the evening even better with her flawless, attentive hospitality. It is a premium experience, but entirely worth it! 🥩 🐟 🥂 👌🏻

Such a fantastic seafood restaurant. We ordered a number of things - the dungeness crab roll, baked scallops, arctic char and halibut. Everything was absolutely delicious, very fresh and the fish cooked to perfection. I also wanted to give special thanks to how accommodating the kitchen was to our unusually unsettled baby - we requested for the food to come out quickly as a result and sure enough, each dish was delivered very efficiently.

Checked out Tap and Barrel for the first time today. Ordered the chicken pesto pasta as well as the burger and Hugo spritz for drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly and the view was nice as the restaurant was facing the water. The chicken pesto pasta was a bit too garlicky for my taste and the burger was average in my opinion.

Such an awesome spot and we had the best experience there! Right from the start, the front desk crew was super welcoming and friendly, which instantly set a great vibe for the whole visit. Huge bonus points for the underground parking too, because finding a spot around there can usually be a massive headache, but this made everything so easy and stressfree. The real showstopper is definitely the patio. The view is absolutely incredible since you're right on the water and get a perfect, clear shot of the stadium. The atmosphere out there is so lively, fun, and energetic, making it the ultimate place to just kick back, enjoy a few drinks, and people watch. The energy of the crowd is super contagious, the service is quick even when they're packed, and sitting by the waterfront with that breeze just can't be beat. It's easily one of the best patio spots in the city and I'll definitely be back regular!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Gotham Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar in Vancouver. The highlight of the evening was definitely the steak. It was beautifully seared on the outside, incredibly juicy and tender on the inside, and packed with rich, delicious flavor. Every bite was absolutely satisfying, and the quality of the beef was truly outstanding. The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant also offered an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing and memorable dinner. From the exceptional steak to the excellent service and beautiful ambiance, everything exceeded my expectations. This was undoubtedly one of the best steakhouse experiences I had during my trip to Vancouver. I would absolutely love to visit again and highly recommend Gotham Steakhouse to anyone who appreciates a perfectly cooked, high-quality steak. Truly a fantastic dining experience!

This place was phenomenal! If you’re looking for a steakhouse and you’re in the area, this is the one! Service was exceptional; our waiter was very knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. I’m not much of a red meat person myself and our waiter recommended the seared tuna, which was outstanding. My friend did the New York strip loin and it was cooked to perfection and super juicy. And the key lime pie for desert was out of this world. Another word on the waiter - he made some recommendations on stuff to do and was great fun to chat to. Overall I’d highly recommend this place, if I’m back in the area with friends, I’ll be back!

In my recent trip to Vancouver, I decided to treat myself a birthday dinner at this place. I got there later than I had wanted. Firstly, the receptionist, she was so nice on the phone. When I was running late she even followed up with me. Then when I got there things were already getting quieter gradually. I decided to stay nevertheless and treat myself to some a mind blowing steak with bread and vegetables along with wine, all ordered separately and have their own prices. This is where I wished they had a proper meal instead of you paying for each item. Just for myself I ended up paying $150+. On google the prices were a bit different and not the same as on the menu at they had in person. So yes it’s an expensive place to eat but hey I was told that they had a happy hour and the prices seem so much more reasonable. Nevertheless, not going to take away from the quality of not just food, but the venue and the server. If I recall his name correctly his name was Luke? He was very nice and professional. The venue itself had a dim light vibe aand there is a lounge section where they also have a piano which I think would be my favourite section. The steak was probably the best steak of my life. So thank you for the wonderful dinner and going out of your way to serve me beyond the regular hours. I appreciated your patience and left feeling pretty accomplished despite the higher prices.
