Seating Information
The seating arrangement at the BMO Mainstage is designed to enhance the outdoor theater experience. The venue features a combination of fixed and flexible seating, allowing a diverse range of viewing options. Typically, the orchestra section provides the most immersive experience, as it is closest to the performance stage, while the back sections can offer a broader view of the overall production but might lack some of the intricate details of the performance.
Those seeking the best seats would ideally opt for the center rows in the orchestra section, which allow for an unobstructed view and great acoustics. On the other hand, seats towards the far sides of the venue may not deliver the best experience due to limited sightlines and acoustics.

One of my favorite summer traditions is watching Shakespeare at a theater by the sea. This year's The Merry Wives of Windsor was such a fun production that even if you've always thought Shakespeare was difficult, I think you'd have a great time. We had some time before the show, so we went for a walk. The theater is right by the beach, and just a short stroll away, we were rewarded with views like this.

Always wonderful : Top-quality acting and sets, with at times a very surprising setting or genre. Christopher Gaze and his teams provide an experience that I wish everyone would experience. Comfortable seats, good snacks, gift shop, and the location is a significant part of the ambiance. You don't need to know anything about Shakespeare to truly enjoy any of these plays (but it helps). Highly recommend!

Great play! We love how they were interacting with the audience. Funny and spontaneous.

I always appreciate the professionalism of the Bard cast, crew, and volunteers. This year's production of Macbeth, however, has outdone anything else I have seen at Bard.

Went on a rainy and cooler day, but this didn’t diminish how great the show was! We’re invited to a private event hosted by Bard on the Beach - what a privilege❤️We had a great time watching Much Ado About Nothing. It was professionally performed by the actresses and actors. All the staff and volunteers there were super friendly and welcoming. The only thing was that the theatre got a bit colder later the night. Be sure to dress smart according to the weather! If you are looking for something to do in Vancouver in the Summer, highly recommend this event💯🌟
