Venue Information

Centennial Theatre, located at 2300 Lonsdale Ave in North Vancouver, is a premier venue hosting a range of performances, particularly renowned for its classical concerts. The theatre, established in response to the growing cultural needs of the community, has become a vital part of the Vancouver arts scene. Each year, it features an impressive lineup of events, including performances by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, which regularly entertains audiences with a variety of classical masterpieces.

Upcoming performances include highly anticipated shows like “A Traditional Christmas” and featured classics such as Brahms and Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3. Tickets pricing generally varies based on the artist and the section of the venue. For popular events, ticket prices can range from $30 to $120 depending on the seating category.

Reviews from patrons have highlighted the theatre's excellent acoustics and intimate setting, making it a preferred location for concertgoers. The Centennial Theatre is not just an events venue; it’s a cherished part of the city's cultural fabric.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at Centennial Theatre is designed to provide an optimal viewing experience. The theatre features several seating sections that enhance the acoustics and visibility of the performances. The orchestra section is often considered the best due to its proximity to the stage, offering an immersive experience during concerts.

Conversely, the rear seats, while still viable, are generally viewed as less desirable due to the distance from the stage. Sections towards the sides may also have slightly obstructed views, so it is recommended to opt for central seating for the best experience. Overall, the general layout makes it conducive for all types of performances with a focus on comfort and engagement.

Parking Information

Parking near the Centennial Theatre is ample but can vary during event days. The best parking option is the Lonsdale Centre Parkade, located just a short distance from the venue at 123 15th Street West. Rates are approximately $2 per hour, making it a cost-effective choice for theatre patrons.

In addition to the Lonsdale Centre, street parking is available in the surrounding area, but it should be noted that spaces can fill quickly on event days. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot. It's advisable to avoid the North Vancouver District Hall Parking, which tends to have limited capacity and may result in longer walks to the theatre.

They didn't sell alcohol. Overall it was good. Small theater so you can see perfectly from anywhere. Good sound and good ambiance. Easy to get in and out. Accessible just off londsdale exit, from Hwy 1.

A really nice theatre even though it seems to be old. Nice staff and easy access from the highway. As long as I don’t have to cross that stupid bridge to go into Vancouver I’m a happy guy.

I went to a concert at this venue, and I can confidently say it's better than all the theaters in Vancouver. The sound quality is excellent, the seats are comfortable, the venue is the perfect size, and the view of the stage is amazing. A nice community theatre with a cozy atmosphere and comfortable seating. The sound and lighting are well done for its size, making it great for local performances, concerts, and school events. The staff are friendly and organized. A great venue for smaller productions. Parking is a bit tricky
