  Our favorite place when we would be stressed with school work! Large patio as well - great for summer hangouts. Super close to wreck beach and foreshore trail. You have to pay first and then they bring food to you. Tipping before even trying the food is a little interesting.

  I ate dinner here twice in a row and both meals were excellent. The decor is nice, the servers are great, and everything seems to be thoughtfully prepared with high quality ingredients. On the first night I had a big salad, which was tasty and healthy, with lots of avocado, croutons, and other good stuff. On the second night I had a shrimp sushi roll that was really nicely prepared. Highly recommended if you are at UBC.

  Outstanding place - not sure, why it took as so long to have found this place! On the 4th floor - either burn some calories and take the stairs - or simply take the elevator. Good variety of foods and drinks; nice and comfortable outdoor seating area. Excellent service despite being very busy. Good portions; great bang for the buck! Will definitely be back!

  The Gallery isn’t just a bar, it’s a place where magic happens, and that magic is named Liam. Genuinely the best barman I’ve ever met. Main character energy behind the bar. Liam didn’t just make a cocktail—he wrote my name on it. Like… tell me why I felt seen, perceived, spiritually acknowledged. It was poetry in liquid form. A small act, but somehow everything. That drink had intention. That drink had soul. He moves like someone who understands the art of the pour, the rhythm of the room, the quiet power of making someone feel special for five minutes on a random night. If bars had muses, he’d be one.   What stood out with this location is the owner operating the restaurant. He was professional, respectful and knowledgeable. It was a very refreshing experience, especially with so many other options in the UBC food court. The price was also always hard to beat with Freshslice pizza 👌🏻

  Ordered the Korean steak tacos from El Cartel Food Truck inside the UBC food court and they were so good! The steak was flavorful, tender, and packed with sauce. The tacos were fresh, filling, and had the perfect balance of sweet and savory Korean flavors. Service was quick and friendly too. Definitely coming back to try more from the menu!

  One of the best meals I’ve had in Vancouver—truly unforgettable. I tried the Korean steak, and the fact that you can have it over fries, rice, or in a quesadilla makes it even better. The flavors were incredible—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and the sauces were absolutely outstanding. They really take the whole dish to another level. I enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterwards. It’s one of those meals that stays with you—you just keep craving it again. The chef was there and was incredibly kind, even offering me a refreshing hibiscus iced tea, which was such a nice touch and just as delicious. Highly, highly recommended. This place is truly something special.

  I've eaten here twice so far and both times have been great. I had the hot Dalgona coffee and they ask you if you want the coffee strong or mild and sweet or not too sweet. I got strong and not too sweet - and it was perfect. The coffee had a smooth finish and the thick dalgona cream wasn't too sweet or anything. It also came with a free chocolate cookie which was surprisingly good. Later I tried the chicken shawarma wrap with extra meat. The chicken was juicy and tender and the garlic sauce had a nice strong garlicy taste. Also comes with Tahini and hot sauce which complimented everything in the wrap well. (Sorry forgot to take a pic of the wrap because I was hungry.)

  Absolutely love this place! My 10th time here and the food is amazing as always. Huge portions and super reasonable prices. The chicken shawarma wrap blew me away: insanely tasty, packed with flavor, and topped with the perfect crunchy bite. And that wrap? So thin, light, and hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Big shoutout to Harvir, she’s an absolute gem! Always friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy. She makes every visit feel extra welcoming with her warm smile and top-notch service. Any team would be so lucky to have her. Can’t wait to come back!
