Pretty good overall. The burger was juicy and much bigger than I expected. The beef had a nice grilled flavour, and the mushroom burger was especially good with the melted cheese and mushrooms. Definitely a filling burger. Fries came out hot and crispy, with a very generous portion. The milkshake was thick, creamy and probably my favourite part of the meal. The food is good and portions are excellent, but for the overall price and experience, I’d put it at 4 stars. Still a good choice when you’re craving a big classic burger, fries and a shake.

Yummy burger and great service! We came out of a physio and wanted something quick and this place was the closest food place. Turns out this was also the best burger and quickest service ever! Thank you, will come back again!

Literally sitting in the resturant as I write this. The food was unbelievably good- I ordered the quesabirria and my boyfriend got the pescado burrito and they were perfect. The service was amazing- super kind people and so so fast!! I swear we only waited like 5 minutes for our food. I recommend trying the Jamaican Agua Fresca, one of the employees suggested mezcal in it too! So so good. Will be coming here again soon!

I’ve been visiting the Comedor and La Taqueria for the past 6 or 7 years. Their tacos, salsas and drinks are delicious. The staff is always friendly and go above and beyond and make every visit special. As a Mexican who has tried many other taco spots in town, I keep recommending El Comedor. It offers the best value and the tastiest tacos hands down. I also give 5 stars because they frequently seek feedback and make adjustments based on customer suggestions. I've never been disappointed in all these years. You should have seen this place during the world cup!

Cool authentic Mexican food with a fine dining side and a very casual side depending on your mood and budget. Tacos are delicious. I had nachos. Very good but rich. Margaritas were good but I didn’t enjoy the flavoured salt rim.

Even though the place was quite full when we entered, we were seated right away and the service was quick and efficient. We ordered quite a bit and got our food much faster than expected. The sushi tasted fresh, not too much rice. We ordered some rolls that were not as common and were pleasantly surprised at the balanced and refreshing flavor. The prices were not bad either! So happy we found this place behind all the construction in the area!

Popped in for a quick lunch today before work. The food was ok, but I really appreciated the service of the two Korean servers. They were friendly and efficient. There were two other tables along with some take-out orders at the time so it wasn't incredibly busy, but it was an enjoyable experience overall. Thank you for the pleasant service!

A ramen stop on West Broadway brought me to Menya Raizo, where the menu goes beyond just a bowl of noodles. Karaage Don - Japanese-style fried chicken with green onion and ponzu sauce over steamed rice. The karaage itself was tasty, especially with the spicy mayo, but the rice-to-chicken ratio felt a little off. Either needed more chicken or a little less rice. Kotteri Shoyu - hearty bowl, with a soy sauce-based chicken broth enriched with pork fat, thick noodles, pork belly chashu, green onion, a seasoned soft-boiled egg, nori and black pepper. I liked the combination of chicken and pork flavours in the broth, which gave it some depth without feeling one-dimensional. The thick noodles and generous toppings also made this a pretty filling bowl. Matcha Sundae — The matcha ice cream comes with mochi taiyaki, cereal, black sweet sauce and whipped cream. There is a lot happening in this dessert, but in a good way, creamy matcha, chewy mochi taiyaki, crunchy cereal and whipped cream all bringing different textures to the party.

Ramen is not bad, it’s creamy but is not the most flavorful. Reminds me one of those frozen already prepared ramen you get from the grocery. Wish it came with more toppings. (so far most flavorful with more toppings has been Ichiya near commercial). The decor is nice, feels traditional/authentic. Extra noodle portion is generous They are less inclined to allow for sharing, and suggest getting sides if so There’s happy hour mon - fri from 2-6pm

Exceptional overall experience! The ambiance here is beautiful, creating a wonderful atmosphere for a meal. The standout for me was the chicken soup base—it was light, naturally sweet, and packed with flavor, and the chicken was tender. On top of that, the restrooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff was so friendly, welcoming, and always wearing a big smile. Highly recommended!

I go here every Friday with a very close friend of mine. What I love about Cascades is that have something for everyone. Beer just ask they have something for everyone’s palate, wine you’re in luck, cocktails a great selection. Not only the service is consistent but the food stands out. I usually go for the features but regular menu wise, the burger, chicken Marsala, steak frites, and wings stand out. Definitely one of Vancouver’s hidden gems

Have been going to this place for years and love it! Extensive and exciting cocktail list with great food and ambiance to boot. They often change up their feature cocktails so always something new to try. Plus, all day happy hour on Mondays! Their cocktails are also just very reasonably priced in comparison to other cocktail bars. Easy 10/10!

Solid Happy Hour menu. Calamari were fantastic, crispy cauliflower was delish, Poutine decadent. Charcuterie was a bit slim. Note that the Prawns Aguachile is swimming in cilantro, though that's not listed on the menu! And the chicken brochettes were a total miss for us - not much flavour but lots of gristle.

Such a great bar! The atmosphere is amazing!intimate, moody, and stylish, with the perfect vibe for a night out or a date night. The cocktails were honestly so good! We let the bartender make recommendations, and both drinks exceeded our expectations. They were beautifully presented, creative, and delicious. You can really tell that thought and care go into the cocktails. A special shoutout to the bartender, who was super cool, friendly, and welcoming. He made the whole experience even better and clearly knows his craft. It’s always a plus when the bartender is not only talented but also genuinely nice to talk to. Definitely a spot I’d come back to. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and great service. Highly recommend!

Great little spot that’s a bit incognito. They have some decent happy hours deals! We got a negroni and a Long Island iced tea for $10 each which isn’t too shabby but they also have a range of original cocktails that look fun to try. Inside it’s dark and moody with candles which makes it feel very intimate and kind of a fun place. They also have a small back patio that’s unheated and sometimes you can get attacked my mosquitos in the summer so make sure you have bug spray.

Checked out Tap and Barrel for the first time today. Ordered the chicken pesto pasta as well as the burger and Hugo spritz for drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly and the view was nice as the restaurant was facing the water. The chicken pesto pasta was a bit too garlicky for my taste and the burger was average in my opinion.

Such an awesome spot and we had the best experience there! Right from the start, the front desk crew was super welcoming and friendly, which instantly set a great vibe for the whole visit. Huge bonus points for the underground parking too, because finding a spot around there can usually be a massive headache, but this made everything so easy and stressfree. The real showstopper is definitely the patio. The view is absolutely incredible since you're right on the water and get a perfect, clear shot of the stadium. The atmosphere out there is so lively, fun, and energetic, making it the ultimate place to just kick back, enjoy a few drinks, and people watch. The energy of the crowd is super contagious, the service is quick even when they're packed, and sitting by the waterfront with that breeze just can't be beat. It's easily one of the best patio spots in the city and I'll definitely be back regular!

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka delivers a consistently high-quality ramen experience. The broth is rich and well-balanced, with a depth of flavor that reflects careful preparation rather than excessive salt or oil. The signature shio ramen stands out for its clean, savory profile, and the pork is tender without being overly fatty. Noodle texture is firm and complements the broth well. Portions are appropriate, and the overall presentation is simple but precise. Service is efficient, though it can feel slightly transactional during peak hours. The space is compact and often busy, which may affect wait times, but turnover is relatively quick. Overall, a reliable choice for authentic Hokkaido-style ramen.

An excellent selection for a ramen meal. Good portions and nicely served. The vegetarian and spicy Tonkatsu miso dishes were tasty. A minor bit of maintenance is required on the side bench seats as they are showing a bit of wear. Rear counter a nice touch but the counter itself should not be used as a prep/administration surface while open. A comment, not criticism on ramen restaurants in general. Basic condiments such as garlic, onions, bamboo shoots etc should not be extra but included in the price. Limit to 3 so it does not get out of hand. We enjoyed our meals and the friendly service. Do not let my comments deter you from selecting this venue for your dining pleasure

Had a fantastic experience at this ramen shop today! The staff were warm, welcoming, and always had a big smile on their face. They were super attentive, patiently taking our order, and offering great recommendations. They even checked in regularly to refill our water. Overall, it was a wonderful meal. My only tiny notes for personal preference would be that the broth was a bit on the richer/oilier side, and the indoor lighting could be a touch brighter.
