The "Spectacular" was spectacular!
I have to say that the only major downside I can mention is that George Takei was advertised as the host and narrator, which was a significant reason why we decided to buy tickets for the event. He only appeared for two musical pieces out of about 10, and then he left. However, he was the reason we attended, and the conductor, musicians, and music did not disappoint! The conductor, in fact, was an outstanding host and stole the spotlight. The event was both beautiful and thrilling, with the musicians and Cary choral singers being exceptional. We are looking forward to the free Gary Owen's event at Lake Benson Park on July 3, where we will have the chance to enjoy their talent twice in one week.
