We’ve been to the Kay Meek Arts Centre a few times now, and it’s always a pleasure. We attended a wonderful concert by The Leading Ladies Little Big Band—an amazing jazz group. We also caught a screening of the classic movie 'A Christmas Story' here; it was so fun to rewatch the scenes with the schoolboys getting into snowbank fights and teaching the bullies a lesson. I really enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the unique, diverse programming they offer. It’s a wonderful community hub for the arts.

Beautiful venue, great place for an intimate concert and amazing surround sounds. Seats are comfortable and leveled so no heads are in the way when you are sitting down.

Elegant local theatre with great variety and strong acoustics Kay Meek Arts Centre is a performing arts hub just north of Ambleside. It’s beautifully designed and offers a more intimate and polished experience than large commercial venues. It has a 500-seat main theatre (Grosvenor Theatre) and a smaller black box Studio Theatre (McEwen) that seat ~145-150, which is perfect for smaller performances, independent plays, dance, and music events. The sightlines are good, and the venue is fairly modern, with a clean lobby, comfortable seating, and professional lighting & sound systems. The stage is sprung (for dance) and there’s an orchestra pit option. It’s well-located, with relatively easy access from major roads (Highway 99, Lions Gate Bridge) so it doesn’t feel too remote but finding parking is not fun
