  We had a great happy hour visit at St. Augustine’s. Very good food and huge beer selection! Only “house” beers are on offer for six bucks but other beers are affordable at $8-9 per pint. Pizza looks terrific too…trying that next time.

  A new place for me to go to from now on. Selection of craft beers are great, actually great! Fried pickles were top notch, battered amazingly. For pizza I chose white sauce with Italian Stallion pizza, again top notch! Service was very good although the place was packed. Just go there and have beers and fried pickles and pizzas. The pizza is huge btw.

  Great spot for beer lovers. They have a huge selection of craft beers on tap, and the digital menu showing what’s available is really convenient. The atmosphere is lively and casual, perfect for hanging out with friends. Food was decent pub style and the portions were good. It can get quite busy, but overall it’s a fun place to grab a drink and relax.

  I had one of their burritos, absolutely delicious. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but it's definitely got something for everyone. Staff are great too. I enjoyed my lunch here, I'll bring a friend next time. They have pretty small glasses of beer on offer too which is a great idea if you want a beer but don't want much. I wish more places had this.

  If you’re in Vancouver and looking for vegetarian/vegan restaurant, give it a visit, you will love every single bite of food here, the staff is fantastic and will help you decide the best food if you don’t understand the menu. Street parking is paid FYI. Ambience is designed with animals in accordance with human being. A clear message to the world out there if one is good enough to understand from wall paintings 💜

  The Burrow was a fantastic surprise! I initially didn’t realize it was a vegetarian restaurant, as I was mostly focused on finding a place with good gluten-free options. When we looked at the menu, we were a little concerned because we hadn’t realized it was vegetarian. Boy, were we wrong! The food was AMAZING. The Merlin tacos were fantastic, and the hot cheesy dip was also incredible. We left feeling completely full (okay, honestly, stuffed!) and very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed everything. It was a great experience, the food was fantastic, and the hibiscus iced tea was a great touch as well. We would absolutely come back!

  Plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant, but it does get filled fast. They offer a variety of Szechuan food choices here. It's been part of the neighborhood for a while now, and the restaurant can accommodate big groups. I would say if you're from out of town and want some tasty Chinese food I would give them a try.

  We had such a wonderful experience! Both main dishes were absolutely amazing, the flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. Even before taking the first bite, we could already see we were getting our money’s worth. As for the taste, the Mongolian beef was incredible… the meat was so tender it practically melted in the mouth, full of flavor. The pineapple beef was also fantastic; the vegetables were large, fresh, and very nourishing. Everything was delicious and well-balanced, and the veggie spring rolls were great too. Highly Recommended !! we’ll definitely be ordering again and again!

  What a lovely place! It was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I really adored how each dish had such a unique flavour and seasoning. The portion was also gigantic - one plate would keep you full for two meals. The owner of the restaurant and the staff were very sweet and receptive. Would definitely recommend 💯

  Absolutely Love Gojo! The food is so good, service is super fast, and the place looks amazing. The owner, Atkilt, is honestly such a nice guy! Don't skip the traditional coffee ceremony either—the coffee is incredible. 10/10 spot!

  Seems like a local family-run restaurant with damn good food. Super generous portions, enough for two meals (especially if you get the Monday/Tuesday special veggie platter). Since it’s family-run, the service and food can be relatively slow, but you know they are cooking your food fresh to order. The owner was really nice, too. Just overall great place to dine if you’re not in a hurry and looking for some Ethiopian food.

  Brunch at Apollo’s Restaurant was seriously so good. The Apollo’s burger was a standout — juicy, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered came out fresh and hot, and you can really tell the food is made with care. My boyfriend ordered the apollos omelette it was amazing, fluffy, filling, and packed with flavour The atmospher is chill, the service is friendly, and it’s the kind of place you leave happy and full. Definitely a brunch spot I’ll keep coming back to.

  Ordered the avocado toast for brunch, it was quite nice and the house salad has a really great dressing that is light and flavorful. Something about the toast/eggs itself could use a little more seasoning. The eggs were also poached a bit soft, I ordered medium. The server was really kind and quick but a tad forgetful. Pricing was reasonable for the amount of avocado on the toast

  I have loved coming to Sushiville for 10 years now and it never disappoints! They just renovated so the space is new and welcoming. They also added ramen to their menu which we will absolutely be back to try! We always receive quick and kind service. The food is consistent and delicious every time hence why this is one of the best sushi spots in Vancouver.

  Went here late at night for a bite to eat with my 22month old daughter. The waitress didn't mind the mess my daughter made, she ate most of her miso soup n decided to pour the rest into her cup of water, she made a mess, the waitress came over and told her to help her clean the mess up, my daughter was happy to help, but she was getting fussy half way through my meal so I asked for a to-go container. They have a cool touch screen to order. The service was quick and friendly. When I was packing my food to go my daughter was being fussy, one of the prep person came over to distract my daughter. The waitress was very gracious and didnt mind the mess my daughter made with her water, miso soup concoction. Then the next day I ordered for pick-up because I didnt want my daughter to be fussy again! I ordered 4 giant rolls, so delicious! Deff a new fave sushi spot! Will deff be ordering from them again to try the other rolls they have because the rolls I got were so delicious!

  Finally was able to try this place, which is probably one of the more popular Japanese restaurants in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood. After hearing about it for a while, it was nice to finally see what the fuss was about. Sockeye Salmon Sashimi - Fresh wild salmon with jalapeño soy sauce. Clean, fresh and nicely complemented by the little kick from the sauce. Sous Vide Duck Somen - Chilled somen in a sesame bonito dashi with oyster mushroom, myoga, ginger and green onion. The duck was well seasoned and tender, and worked really well with the noodles and savoury broth. A refreshing dish that still had plenty of flavour. Hotate Nigiri - Hokkaido scallop that was naturally sweet, with a subtle tangy brush of sauce that added a nice contrast. Oshi Tasting Plate - A great way to sample all four: Salmon, Unagi, Spicy Tuna and Gindara. Two pieces of each, with a good mix of flavours and textures. Definitely worth ordering if you want to try a bit of everything. Warabi Mochi - Houjicha-infused jelly-mochi with kinako and maple syrup. A softer, lightly sweet finish to the meal.

  Most of the dishes here are really good! I’ve brought both family and friends, and it’s always been a great experience. The agedashi mochi was a bit unusual at first, but it was surprisingly delicious. The sous vide duck soba is another standout dish. The sashimi is always fresh and consistently excellent. The oshizushi is absolutely heavenly—definitely a must-order. The chirashi box is also incredible, just wow. I could honestly go on about this restaurant!

  Went in, seen a massive 1.3Kg potatoes. And guys, I'm from Ireland, I've never seen a potato that big. Burger was lovely, egg was runny, sauces were saucin' Only gave a 4 for service because you have to go get your food. Overall worth it. Especially to see the potato.

  Stopped by the place last Saturday afternoon after not having been in a few months and the poutine with the braised short rib is still the best version of that dish I've had in Vancouver. The woman working the counter remembered my usual order and even recommended the new curry sauce, which was a nice touch. It was busy but the line moved fast, and the wooden bench seating by the window makes for decent people watching while you wait for your fries. Honestly this place is consistent every single time, and that counts for a lot in my book.
