Outstanding Beef Wellington and a Wonderful Family Dining Experience! We had a fantastic dining experience at Gordon Ramsay Steak Vancouver during our family trip to Canada. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Beef Wellington. The beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, while the pastry was perfectly prepared. You could really appreciate the attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into creating this signature dish. Despite the complexity of the preparation, our food arrived surprisingly quickly, which was impressive. We also ordered the salmon and mac and cheese for our kids, and everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed their meals. What made the experience even more memorable was the excellent service. From the moment we arrived, the reception team and our servers were welcoming, polite, professional, and genuinely friendly. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our visit. Overall, it was a wonderful combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone in our family left with great memories. Highly recommended, especially for anyone wanting to experience Gordon Ramsay's famous Beef Wellington. We would definitely come back again!

The food was amazing! We did the 3 course meal for the Wagyu tasting but we still ordered the ceviche and shrimp cocktail. From the appetizer to the entree and all the way to the dessert was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was so filling and tasty we had enough to take home! The Wagyu beef was tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the flan with bourbon sauce and that was probably my favourite - we even got some extra dessert treats from our server Allan and they were just as tasty. Speaking of our server, Allan was welcoming, friendly, fun, and engaging and he gets all the credit for making our night even more special!

By far the most amazing experience from the moment I walked in. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the risotto the pork belly to start and then had the beef Wellington with potato puree and carrots along with the Mac and cheese. There was so much food could easily feed four people. My server Alan was absolutely incredible from his charm to his attentive to detail to make my birthday experience amazing although I didn’t let anyone know I was celebrating. His wine recommendations was spot on and I will deffinately be back

Started with a latte that came with really nice, detailed fern-style latte art — well-made and looked great in the cup. The Fly Me To The Bennies with smoked salmon was a highlight: two properly poached eggs under a generous blanket of housemade hollandaise, layered with smoked salmon and arugula on the English muffin. The hollandaise was creamy and rich, the salmon was a nice upgrade, and everything was fresh. It came with a good pile of their house smashed potatoes — crispy on the outside, soft inside, well-seasoned — plus a side of fresh fruit (apples, orange, etc.). Also tried the “My Way” style plate: fluffy sunny-side-up eggs with bright yolks, housemade waffles dusted with powdered sugar, sausages, more of those crispy smashed potatoes, and another fruit cup. The waffles were golden and crisp on the outside, and the whole plate felt generous and balanced between sweet and savory. Portions were solid, presentation was clean, and the patio seating on the wooden tables made for a relaxed morning. Overall a satisfying brunch with good coffee and classic-but-elevated comfort food. Would come back for the bennies and those potatoes.

A perfect final meal in Canada 🇨🇦 We visited Story Restaurant on our last night in Canada with our family, including our two children aged 12 and 14. We were walk-ins at around 9pm and were so pleased to be accommodated. The meal was absolutely delicious. We ordered the honey mussels to start, which were fantastic, and my fish was delicious. Our daughter had the lasagna and thoroughly enjoyed it too. We couldn’t have wished for a better meal to end what had been a wonderful Canadian adventure. The only thing we found a little unusual was the happy hour. We were told the kitchen was closing, but the happy hour menu — which included both food and drinks — started at 10pm. Interestingly, the restaurant actually became much busier around this time. We’ve never experienced a restaurant where the regular kitchen closes and a food-focused happy hour menu then takes over, so it was a little unexpected. That aside, we had a lovely experience and the food was excellent. A really memorable final meal before flying home to the UK.

Story Café is easily one of the most unique-looking spots in Richmond. The nostalgic decor is incredible—filled with vintage cameras and records. It's a perfect 10/10 for atmosphere, even if the menu is a bit overpriced. The Food & Drink: • Pork Tacos: These were so, so good! Definitely the highlight of the meal. Fresh, flavorful, and a must-order. • Seafood: The fresh oysters and shrimp cocktail were beautifully presented and tasted very fresh. • The Drinks: I tried the Earl Grey mocktail, but honestly, I wasn't impressed. It was $11 and not worth it for the taste. I’d suggest sticking to their coffee or other cocktails. Service: The welcome girl at the front was very nice and professional. She made a great first impression and made us feel at home immediately. The patio is currently closed! 🅿️ Parking Logistics (Pro-Tip): Parking can be tricky here! You can try for parallel street parking if you’re lucky enough to find a spot. If not, don't stress, there is a parking lot directly opposite for $3, which is very convenient.

Always saw Maruhachi from the Canada line as I was heading into Vancouver. Realized it was near River Rock, but did not venture to look for it until yesterday. I was looking for Japanese restaurants that has dog friendly patios as alternatives to the one in Steveston . Maruhachi popped up and we decided to head there to have lunch with our small fur baby plus it had favourable reviews . We tried their Signature Ramen which has Creamy chicken broth , soft boiled egg, extra pork shoulder and slightly charred Pork Belly Char Siu, green onions . Glad we ordered this as we have not had creamy chicken broth (Tori-Paitsn) and Maruhachi is the pioneer for this. We loved the creamy broth , Pork shoulder and slightly charred pork belly . The thin noodles could have been a little more Al Dente . We also added a side order of chicken karage which was ok . The marinade was a somewhat dull for us . But their soft tofu triangles were flavorful . Our server was friendly and efficient . She brought a water bowl for our fur baby as soon as we sat down which was really appreciated given it is summer . Our food got served very quickly too . Overall a great experience and we loved the ramen. We plan to be back frequently to try other ramen as well as their mini pork curry .

Came here for dinner on a weekday and were able to get seated even during rush hour, though the restaurant was about 80% full. It was our first time trying tori paitan ramen, and we were pleasantly surprised. The broth was so smooth and comforting that I finished the entire bowl - something I never do, since I usually find ramen broth too salty. Best part: we weren't thirsty afterwards, which says a lot about how well-balanced the broth was. Definitely recommend giving it a try. One point deducted for the service greeting. The server kept emphasizing the no-cash policy to every customer upon arrival. While I understand it's necessary, the repeated reminder felt a little off-putting

I don't eat ramen very often in Vancouver as I find them just alright comparing to Japan..... But Maruhachi is one of the few that I actually like! I started going when they first opened their downtown Bidwell location. Their toripaitan is creamy and flavorful. I also like their Cha-Shu and ajitama is prepared just right. I am so happy that now you can even choose between thin or thick noodles. I personally prefer thick noodles more so this is definitely one thing that makes me want to go visit again soon!

If you’re craving a taste of Taiwan without booking a flight to Taipei, Uno Beef Noodle is probably one of the better Taiwanese noodle spots in Richmond. The menu is focused on Taiwanese comfort food, with their beef noodle soups being the main attraction. Started with the Uno Brown Sugar Pearl Milk and Chamomile Citron Tea. Both were pretty standard, perfectly fine. For something on the more adventurous side, tried the Marinated Spicy Stinky Tofu. The tofu had the familiar fermented flavour and spicy, savoury marinade, but if you’ve had real stinky tofu in Taiwan, this one might leave you asking, "Where’s the stink?" It wasn’t nearly as pungent as the versions you can find in Taiwan. The Spicy Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup came with braised beef shank, tendon, noodles, vegetables, green onion, cilantro and pickled vegetables. The beef was tender, while the tendon had that nice gelatinous chew. The braised broth had plenty of flavour and a good spicy kick, with the pickled vegetables adding some acidity to cut through the richness. The Uno Steak Noodle Soup is the more premium option, featuring Uno’s steak with the same braised broth, noodles, vegetables, green onion, cilantro and pickled vegetables. The steak gives the bowl a slightly different character from the traditional beef noodle soup, although I’d still lean toward the classic beef-and-tendon combination for the full Taiwanese comfort-food experience. Overall, Uno is probably one of the better Taiwanese noodle places around Richmond. The noodles and beef are satisfying, the broth has good depth, and there’s plenty of variety if you want to explore more Taiwanese dishes. My main complaint? Everything leaned quite salty. The broth was flavourful, but by the end of the meal, I was definitely reaching for more water and stayed thirsty afterward. Still, when the craving for Taiwanese beef noodles hits, Uno is a solid choice.

This is not paid/sponsored review. Visited Aug 14’26, not the first time. One of few beef noodle stall that I like to visit. Portion is good, not too little and not too much. Meat is well cooked and tender …tendon is not too bulky… I like it! Pricing is still reasonable. The only critic from me : they will charge you for chilli oil!!! This is the first time I ever heard of this practice.

Easily one of my top 3 spots in town for beef noodle soup! The broth is rich and packed with deep, robust beef flavor 😆 The real surprise of the meal, though, was the popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞). It was crisp, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Definitely worth ordering alongside your noodles!

Surprise find when I was craving desserts at night. The owner was a kind older gentleman, he was very attentive & fast. 🥥We absolutely enjoyed the coconut jelly, the mango was freshly cut (we heard him cutting at the back) and the taro balls tastes chewy. The jelly itself was very fresh, not too sweet but still kept the young coconut’s flavour. 🍲The chicken soup was okay, nothing to complain about for just $5.99. 🥮The wheel cake was a bit stale, feels like it’s not as fresh as I expected. Overall I really enjoyed the coconut jelly, will come back to try their drinks!

Solid stop at this Subway! Staff were genuinely friendly, with Joban standing out for great service. Bonus points for the unique deli meat folding technique… oddly satisfying to watch and it actually keeps the sandwich neatly packed (no mid-bite fallout). Location is convenient, parking’s easy, and while prices have definitely crept up over the years, that’s not on this crew. Overall, a well-run spot I’d come back to.

Always pass by this place and decided to check it out. The menu has a ton of options. We went with what our server recommended. The salad regular size is smaller than he explained. But very tasty. We shared a full pasta order and it was a lot of food. The rose sauce was really delicious. The prices are a little high. Server was very friendly and made great suggestions.

Visited Italian Tomato in Richmond in mid-November. This place has been around for almost 20 years and is similar to Anton's in Burnaby as they both serve huge portions of pasta and you pick your pasta and your sauce giving you an almost endless selection to choose from. We had the Meat Lasagna ($31 full size) and the Napoletana Linguine ($32 full size) with baby shrimp, baby clams, garlic, lemon zest in white wine cream sauce. And why wouldn't you get the full size when it's just a couple extra bucks? Seriously a huge portion. The pasta itself was pretty good and we had leftovers for days. Also had the Insalata di Cesare ($25) which had a nice creamy sauce. Meanwhile, I thought the Garlic Cheese Bread, while quite large, wasn't cheesy enough and lacked some crisp texture to the bread. I wouldn't necessarily say it was the best pasta I've had but it was fun trying to pack in all those carbs. Service was a bit hit or miss depending on which server was helping us. Finished off the meal with the Triple Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream. If you remember the brownie sundae that the Keg used to serve, it's a little bit like that. But it would have been better with some whipped cream. So if you like big carby portions, this won't disappoint. UPDATE - October 2026: Revisted and had the Linguine Paesana ($36 for full size) with baby shrimp, baby clams, salmon in a light dim cream sauce) and Lobster Ravioli ($36) along with the Insalata Della Casa ($22). For dessert, the Triple Chocolate Brownie ($16) was served warm with vanilla ice cream.

One of our most favourite restaurants in the metro Vancouver area over the past decade and a half. Quality food, top notch service and fantastic atmosphere. We have dined at Italian Tomatoes on many special occasions, and many times, just to satisfy our craving for some quality Italian food. The food is consistently outstanding. Every dish is freshly made with the finest ingredients, perfectly balanced spices and undoubtedly with passion and pride. Today, we started with Spinaci - baby spinach salad. The raspberry balsamic maple vinaigrette dressing is light and refreshing, and topped with bacon and pecans. Absolutely amazing! For the entrees, we indulged with "Mamma Mia" (seafood pasta in garlic olive oil), "Michelangelo" (chicken, broccoli, red peppers in garlic olive oil white wine sauce) and Quattro Straggione thin crest pizza. Delicious!!! Finish the meal with the best tiramisu in town. We have had many other plates on their menu, and we, along with our friends, can attest they are all fantastic. The restaurant has a great vibe. It has a welcoming atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. There is also ample free parking on site. Bottom line - outstanding food, fantastic service, great people and awesome ambience. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Italian Tomato Restaurant, and we definitely will visit them many, many more times.

Had dinner here with my wife and the food was AMAZING, specifically the beef tartare and beef short rib. Josh the bartender did an amazing job with the cocktails, everything had a unique twist to it and he clearly is passionate with his craft! Big thank you to Davina and her team, the service was top notch. The food, service, and menu, is what you'd find at other top restaurants around town. The only thing that could use some improvement is the ambiance. Visually the restaurant doesn't quite match the level of execution in the food and service. But I wouldn't let the ambiance deter me from coming back again, that's how great the food and service was!

My boyfriend and I decided to have a celebration dinner at The Apron, and we’re so glad we did! Davina, Scott, Joshua, and the rest of the team took such amazing care of us from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience feel so welcoming. We tried several dishes and every one had something different to offer. The burrata salad was so refreshing, and the tomatoes complemented the cheese beautifully. The forage mushroom was so simple but had an explosion of flavour. The Pacific salmon was baked in parchment, which really kept all the flavour and moisture in — it was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The short rib was probably the most tender I’ve ever had, and I only wish I didn’t get full so quickly because I definitely wanted to keep eating! The drinks were just as memorable. The Lolita in the Garden was playful, light, sweet, and subtle, with all the flavours complementing each other so well. The Red Lantern was silky and mysterious — with every sip I kept wondering, “what does this remind me of?” My boyfriend also tried the Smoky Old Fashioned, which swaps the classic spirit for tequila. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was surprisingly smooth, deep, smoky, and bold. Overall, the entire experience felt like a high-end restaurant from start to finish. Don’t let the “hotel restaurant” look fool you — the quality of the food, drinks, and service was genuinely impressive. We’re really glad we chose The Apron for our celebration and would absolutely come back!
