First time at Moxies on West Georgia, and the food completely exceeded expectations. - The Food: We ordered the Mahi Mahi and the Mango Chicken. Both dishes delivered incredible flavor and top quality. The portions were just right, filling and satisfying. - The Service: Bre provided outstanding service. She was very friendly, attentive, and gave us the right amount of space to enjoy our meal. - The Atmosphere: The space is well-suited for a casual business meeting or drinks. - The Takeaway: We tried two glasses of white wine on happy hour. While the happy hour drink selection is solid, the regular food menu is the real star here. We will definitely return.

The best thing about being at Sandman's on West Georgia is the easy access to Moxie's. Loved their food, the vibe and the excellent staff! Trust the staff on their food recommendation and be delighted. Thank you, after an extremely touristy day of 30k steps, we needed that delicious food and easy banter.

Space looks great, after all the renos! A very good happy hour - Good selection of beers, Espresso Martini, Shrimp tacos, chicken lettuce wraps. Service was a bit slow for a fairly dead afternoon - we were sat outside on the patio, would likely be quicker if we were inside. All in all, a good spot to stop by when out and about in Downtown!

Very loud but lovely and delicious place with a menu with many global influences added into the options. We had dropped a fork and a waiter immediately came with another one before we even picked up the fallen fork! It made for a very magical moment. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and suited everyone’s tastes. Would definitely recommend for a fun outing!

Enjoy coming to this restaurant. I ordered the lamb dish which is what they are known for. Huge portions, can definitely be shared with someone. It would be nice to order this, and something else a bit smaller and share with your friend. We sat in the round booth with red chairs. So it was really cozy, and good size to chat with everyone around the table. Very nice atmosphere that's not too loud, which is appreciated. So easy to chat with people. Other people ordered ahi tuna, tofu, mussels, and other dishes. I also had a glass of chardonnay. So it was a very pleasant evening songstress new friends and acquaintances. The server was really friendly and polite.

Chambar is absolutely buzzing right now, just before the Bruno Mars concert, and the service has been exceptional! One name to remember: Conor, the fantastic bartender! He recommended the food for my husband and me, and we trusted his choices immediately — what a great decision! He somehow manages to remember everyone’s name, even in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Conor is professional, warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stand out. Amazing service, great recommendations, and a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend Chambar, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Conor, you’re in great hands! The whole team rocks! Check the photos… the best cheesecake . Conor is on the first photo, Bryan on the second and Jeremy on the third.

Checked out Tap and Barrel for the first time today. Ordered the chicken pesto pasta as well as the burger and Hugo spritz for drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly and the view was nice as the restaurant was facing the water. The chicken pesto pasta was a bit too garlicky for my taste and the burger was average in my opinion.

Such an awesome spot and we had the best experience there! Right from the start, the front desk crew was super welcoming and friendly, which instantly set a great vibe for the whole visit. Huge bonus points for the underground parking too, because finding a spot around there can usually be a massive headache, but this made everything so easy and stressfree. The real showstopper is definitely the patio. The view is absolutely incredible since you're right on the water and get a perfect, clear shot of the stadium. The atmosphere out there is so lively, fun, and energetic, making it the ultimate place to just kick back, enjoy a few drinks, and people watch. The energy of the crowd is super contagious, the service is quick even when they're packed, and sitting by the waterfront with that breeze just can't be beat. It's easily one of the best patio spots in the city and I'll definitely be back regular!

Brunch was fantastic! I had the rotisserie chicken tater tot poutine, and it was one of the best brunch meals I’ve ever had. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something more savoury and hearty. Our table also ordered the 3-egg omelette, monkey bread, house rolls (with homemade jam), and a few sides, and everything turned out amazing. The restaurant has a clean aesthetic with lots of character in its finishes and decor. The open kitchen created a lively atmosphere, especially since we were sitting nearby. Dani made our visit extra special by bringing us a glass of bubbles as a treat for our special occasion. It was a lovely cherry on top to an already great experience. Would highly recommend!

We missed brunch and weren’t sure what to order since the happy hour menu didn’t have too many options. Our server Veronica, suggested the half rotisserie chicken, so we went with it. She was super friendly and helpful! The chicken and coffee were good, as usual. We’ll come a little earlier next time for brunch.

I can’t say enough about the quality of food, it’s stunningly fantastic! Definitely the #1 spot for brunch in the city. Fairly priced I might add. The decor is truly something, lovely layout, bright rooms & a cute outdoor patio (heated). Can’t wait to go back!

This is one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want to share this secret. Note that the wait can be long, especially for larger groups but it’s more than worth it. The service is exceptional. Drinks, cocktails and coffee are some of the best I’ve ever had. The menu has so many good options. The waffles are a must! Along with their special sauces. My favourite dish is the lamb meatballs with eggs. Such good flavours and the right amount of sauce. Eggs cooked to perfection. Melissa was an excellent bartender and provided outstanding service.

If you have never been, don't! They are too good to share. The food was so amazing. The service was warm and genuine. And the atmosphere had just enough kitsch without being cliche. Our table had the salmon fume, fricassee, and les boulettes, along with some wonderful lattes. We tried thier liege waffles and yes, the are worth the hype and need no toppings. Would I come back here? 100% yes!

We came to dine at Provence Marinaside for a friend’s birthday and it did not disappoint. We had reservations on a busy Saturday night and got seated on the patio right away. It was a tad bit chilly but they were very accommodating and turned on the fire place for us. We started with oysters and the crab and prawn cocktail and it was very fresh. For our mains we got the prawn and scallop spaghettini, crab and lobster bamboo rice, seafood linguini and wild mushroom ravioli. The portion size was perfect and the seafood was generous! The star for me was the wild mushroom ravioli - it was very rich and flavourful. We had lots of sauce leftover so we ordered the baguette and were so glad we did - hot and crusty with a soft middle it was delicious! We got the featured dessert and tarte au citron. The lemon tarte blew us away, it was the perfect balance of lemon tartness and sweetness. The service provided by Akiho was top notch. She was very attentive, friendly and funny! Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to visit for a special occasion and lovely view. We would love to return to try their happy hour!

Tucked right by the waterfront, this spot nails the ambience from the moment you walk in — cozy enough that you could easily settle in with a bottle of wine and let the evening drift by for hours. The seafood is the clear standout: fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, so you won’t leave hungry. Save room for dessert, though — they were genuinely brilliant and a highlight of the meal on their own. On top of the food, the practical stuff is covered too: parking is plentiful, and prices feel very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Whether it’s a relaxed dinner or a slow evening of wine and conversation, this place delivers. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot that combines great food with a genuinely relaxing atmosphere.

Superb dinner at Provence Marinaside. We decided to sit on the patio as opposed to the dining room as it was a pleasant evening. Had a view of the marina and promenade. All the chairs had blankets available which was a nice touch when it cooled off in the evening. Started the dinner with an appetizer of calamari which was lightly breaded and tender. For the main we selected the halibut as our server recommended it as it was fresh and in season. Glad we did as it was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. To top off the meal I had the lemon tart which I highly suggest with an americano. Service was phenomenal and we had a great chat. Will definitely return when back in Vancouver!

Had a lovely Sunday brunch at Earls today! The shakshuka was absolutely delicious, the salad was fresh and filling, and the sandwich was juicy and flavourful. A special thank you to Kelly for her wonderful service and lovely energy at our table. She gave great recommendations, was very attentive, and made sure to carefully consider all allergies. She truly made our time there extra enjoyable. Special thanks to Sophie as well, they were both there whenever we needed anything and even provided paper and a pen so I could enjoy a little creative writing moment during brunch. Came by for a birthday of a friend with the intention of ordering off the Happy Hour menu. Decent amount of options available to choose from. Ordered the ebi fritters, chicken karage, ingen fries, kaisen soba, oshi sampler, and the bluefin and champagne rolls. The ebi and chicken karage were great. The sauce that came with it, and also with the ingen fries, was really good. The kaisen soba was tasty, but probably the one we would not be as keen to order again. The oshi sampler with the various aburi rolls was great as we expected. I really enjoyed both the bluefin and champagne rolls. Definitely an elevated type of roll with subtle flavours. We finished off with the full dessert platter. The green tea opera was the favourite of the four. We loved how deep the matcha flavour of the ice cream was in particular. The coconut cheesecake and earl gray panna cotta were very nice as well. Very tasty and elegant desserts. I don't normally note service, but our waitress for the evening was fantastic. Really made our night checking in and chatting with us. The atmosphere was great for Happy Hour. Very bright and not overwhelmingly noisy. We had a great time and really enjoyed our experience.

All the dishes here were amazing, especially the salmon aburi sushi. So fresh & flavourful. Also loved the Chirashi Tart— it was incredibly filling and reminded me of a sushi cake! 🍣 I also enjoyed the cozy ambience! Great for date nights or family/friend hangouts. Highly recommend going during happy hour 3-5PM for great deals. Our server Zoe was wonderful— super attentive & kind!! 😊 She made the experience that much more amazing.

Minami is one of my favourite spots for contemporary Japanese cuisine. They offer plenty of excellent cooked dishes, making it a great option even for those who aren't into raw seafood. The must-orders for me are the Aburi Salmon Oshi (still my favourite), the Aburi Chicken Karaage, and the Ebi Fritters. Their cocktails and mocktails are also fantastic and pair really well with the food. The sashimi, sushi rolls, and Aburi Iwate A5 Wagyu Steak are all solid, though I wouldn't say they're particularly unique compared to other Japanese restaurants. That said, the overall quality and consistency of the menu make it a place I always enjoy coming back to. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. Parking in the lot out front is usually difficult to find, so I'd recommend looking for street parking nearby. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, Minami is a spot that's well worth a visit.
