Restaurant was super friendly and very accommodating of our stroller and eight month old. The patio was beautiful. Got the spritz flight, which was excellent. Got the meatball, pizza bread and arugula salad to start, and the prosciutto pizza and they’re special to share. Pizza bread was underwhelming, but everything else was tasty and yummy.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This unassuming suburban Italian restaurant came highly recommended by our Airbnb hosts, and what a recommendation it was. The food was absolutely delicious, with beautiful flavours and stand-out service. We shared a salad, pizza and dessert, which was more than enough for the two of us. Everything was reasonably priced, too. The pizza base was delightfully crispy and cooked to perfection. The arugula salad was substantial, and the capers added a real flavour bomb that lifted the whole dish. Dessert was two cannoli — one lemon and one pistachio — both delicate, beautifully crisp and delicious. A real find. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.

The pizza was good, but there are other places in the city that come close or even beat it. The cheese sticks were great stuffed with a lot of cheese, so be prepared if you get those. We also got the meatballs, but they came out cold, not sure if that's intentional. Service was phenomenal though.

Girls’ brunch date at Sula! We had such a lovely girls’ brunch at Sula! The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to catch up over great food and drinks. Our servers, Ash and Vikram, were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome without being intrusive. They really added to the experience and made our brunch even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It was the perfect place for a relaxed girls’ brunch with lots of conversation, laughter, and good food. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend for a fun brunch with friends!

I visited Sula with my family for a causal Lunch. The ambience decor was the first thing which really impressed us. Added to that the warm and hospitable staff, esp Toral made the overall experience memorable. We loved the food esp the Railway VadaPav, Missi Roti and the Curries. Highly recommend Sula at Commercial.

I’ve always loved Indian food but never had the chance to try Sula until now, and I’m so glad I finally did! Even though it’s a bit out of my way, finding this spot gives me the perfect excuse to visit Commercial Drive more often. The food was fantastic, but the service really took the experience to the next level. Our server was unbelievably patient, taking the time to thoroughly explain the menu, and was so attentive, warm, and kind throughout our meal. On top of that, they have a dog-friendly patio, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend!

🌴😃 A little taste of Havana without leaving the city! I ordered the **Hongos tacos** 🌮 — asada-marinated king oyster mushrooms with pickled cabbage, serrano aioli, corn salsa, crispy enoki mushrooms, and charred green onion, served on corn tortillas with salsa. You get two tacos and a choice of side. 🍄 **The mushrooms were so good!** I loved the flavours and textures, especially the combination of the juicy king oyster mushrooms and crispy enoki. And the tostones? 🤤 Twice-fried, smashed plantains with tomatillo-avocado mousse… crispy, savoury, and so satisfying! 🍌💚 🌴 Looking out at the terrace really felt like being in Havana! The tropical atmosphere made the meal feel like a little getaway. Even better, the restaurant was decorated for Halloween 🎃👻, adding a fun seasonal twist to the Caribbean vibes. **Good food, delicious mushrooms, and tropical vibes — a little Havana escape with a Halloween twist!** 🌮🌴🎃

Came here for the shareables and enjoyed so much since it was happy hour. The service was quick and food was served at the right temperature for each item ordered. Was quite impressed with it all. The atmosphere was unquie and we wanted to put our mark on the walls, but never did. They had a very good selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on happy hour prices.

I hadn't been here in over 10 years, but it popped into my mind recently, so I stopped by with a friend last weekend. It used to be in a corner location with a smaller, tighter space that felt like an old school diner. They've since moved, and the new spot has a much more modern look and feel. Since it was lunchtime, neither of us was really in the mood for breakfast. We ordered the club sandwich, which was really good, the thick cut bacon was especially delicious. We also shared the grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese was absolutely amazing, but the soup wasn't my favorite. It was a bit too acidic for my taste. It's a little out of the way for me these days, but it was nice to stop in and revisit a place I hadn't been to in so long.

Great pancakes and cornbread! We got the pulled pork Benny and the other plate was a breakfast built of sides (side pancake, two eggs and mushrooms). The homefries were good but a bit boring in comparison to the rest of the items - could use some seasoning to jazz them up.

I celebrate my birthday with family and we had a great time with excellent service and very tasty food. The atmosphere is nice but can get a bit noisy at times, but well worth it. The seafood pasta was delicious. I wish I could remember our server's name because she did a fantastic job. Oh and thank you for the birthday dessert.

Came to Marcello looking for a casual Italian meal and it delivered on that front. Good value for money overall. The clam dish was a highlight, well seasoned and nicely executed. The pizza was decent, nothing that will blow your mind but solid enough for a relaxed dinner. The pasta was a bit of a miss though, came out a little too wet and soft. The tiramisu was fine but didn’t leave much of an impression. A good neighbourhood spot if you’re after an affordable, no-fuss Italian meal.

The Italian food was exceptional. I enjoyed the 4 types of pizza they offered us. They brought 3 kinds of salad with garlic bread, gnocchi, and pop for each of us. After we were full by the delicious food, they brought a nice birthday cake for Dallas's birthday for all of us to share. The birthday cake was very delicious. I thank Dallas and his lady friend for the great, wonderful time of treating everyone.

I dont even know where to begin. The service was excellent and the staff is very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing and their Lemon-Berry French Toast is pure perfection. I literally took a bite, and said "oh my God" right as my eyes dilated and proceeded to scarf the deliciousness down. I flew into Vancouver late last night and this is my first meal here, a wonderful start to my trip!

The name alone earns goodwill, which is more than you can say for the location. Standing outside in line is its own small ordeal, the kind that makes you briefly reconsider your life choices before the food arrives and makes you briefly forget them. And the food does arrive, eventually, and it delivers. This particular visit hit cleanly on all fronts: a milkshake that knew what it was doing, eggs Benedict with a yolk that ran exactly the way it should, and a lemon berry crispy French toast that walked in, sat down uninvited, and refused to be outshone by anything else on the table. Yes and thank you, as stated. The surroundings attract a certain wandering element, the kind of ambient human activity that either charms or unsettles depending on the day you are having. Factor that in accordingly. Still one of my favorite breakfast spots running. The food earns that.

Parallel 49 Brewing is easily my favourite brewery in East Van. Everything about this place just works. It’s a huge space with an awesome atmosphere, and every time I’ve been it’s been busy, lively, and full of good energy ♥️ We dropped in while the Brazil World Cup match was on, grabbed a spot in the beer garden and then the grandstand seating, and settled in for a few beers. The Space Kitty is an absolute go-to, and the range of beers here is outstanding. We also shared a poutine, which was the perfect match 🍻 There are plenty of great breweries in Vancouver, but Parallel 49 keeps pulling me back. Incredible beer, a fantastic venue, and so many great memories made here over the years. Easily the pick of the bunch 💯

Parallel 49 has it all—from numerous taps of delicious craft beer to an impressive bottle shop and an outstanding wine list. The Aperol bar is such a fun touch, and the DJ music creates a great, upbeat atmosphere adding to patio experience. There’s a food truck right inside with lots of fantastic vegetarian options, which makes it easy to grab a bite while enjoying your drinks. The whole place has a really fun, social vibe and feels like somewhere you could easily spend a few hours with friends. Definitely a must-visit for great beer, cocktails, wine, food, and music all in one place!

I was fortunate to be staying nearby during my visit to Vancouver for the World Cup. This became my go-to place to watch the matches which are being played on a screen along with additional televisions on their patio. They provided ample seating and food truck options along with they're already existing menu. Sadly, I never got a chance to try any of the food and stuck strictly to the beer. They also have some bloody Mary drink with the sausage in it, that's some type of local staple. The bathroom situation has four available stalls and it should be noted if the door is closed. Don't even bother trying to open it. Just look for an open door.

We first found out about Tacofino was the original food truck in Tofino! Then we actually noticed this place was scattered around the city. We have been away for a couple of years and were in the neighbourhood. TBH, We didn’t really have any high hopes. ( it’s hard to outdo the original taco stand right by the ocean seas.) What the heck tho, we needed a snack. Oh btw we have gone to the other location in West Side years and years ago. ( if it’s still there…) Expensive, upscale drinking vibes. Not really our thing. East side tho? Maybe it’s more focused on the culinary experience. Too bad it fell way short. Service was cold and unenthusiastic to say the least. Seems like they were just alot of new comers looking for side hustles. The food was blah too. Small portions and priced high. The decor was nice tho. Maybe it’s more of a Friday night, beer and tacos kind of place. What has happened to Vancouver? Quite disappointing. Let’s blame the government for this blunder.

I frequent Tacofino Commissary often and they never disappoint. I’ll swing by for a couple of tacos for lunch or order pickup in the evening for family dinner. Been a customer over 50 times and the food is consistently fresh and delicious! Very well priced menu items. For less than $10 you can get a massive taco. A small cost more and you can have a burrito that is so filling that you’ll want to lay down after eating. Less than $10 for a well rounded kid’s meal? Unheard of these days. Also, check out the daily specials and happy hour deals! Happy hours daily from 3-6 :) Hastings-Sunrise needs more hidden gems like Tacofino. Go check their website and see for yourself!
