  Celebrating the other half’s birthday and made reservations in advance. Was seating beside another table where the guy had a serious cough that wouldn’t stop. Asked the staff for another table and they understood our concern. Food was amazing - tried Wagyu for the first time and words can’t describe how good it was. Staff was very attentive and so polite. Great place for a celebration.

  Recently ate here during the world cup activities in downtown Vancouver. Our food was superb, thankfully my companion was a excellent cook. The dishes were served looking absolutely immaculate, flavors were on point for all dishes. I usually don't eat prawns, but I loved these ones! Probably one of the best meals that I have had in years. We chose to eat at the outdoor table,it was an amazing experience. Waiting staff was super helpful as well, thanks Sam and Yuki.

  No nonsense diner serving good food with service to match at a very fair price. Seems like a popular place and it makes sense why. Sat at the bar for a weekday brunch so had no wait but can see it getting busy on a weekend and incurring a short wait. Had the farmers breakfast hash with scrambled eggs and decided not to add a meat..and I would get that again. Easy recommend.

  A great landmark that has been around for over a 100 years under different names. Recommend by the concierge at our hotel and so glad that we took his advice. Food, service and vibe are exactly what a diner should be. Take your kids so that they know what a diner was like…before they are all gone! Old jukebox, door handles shaped like cutlery, tabletop seating, the checkered tiles and fake leather seats…what’s not to love! Bottomless coffee, friendly servers, one main cook in the little kitchen making all the food. Love it! Eggs Bene was the real deal. Checkout for very old milk fridge with a dispenser that probably worked at some point!

  This cute diner is totally worth it’s hype! We tried Vegetarian eggs benny & Vegan burger. The food was tasty, mildly spiced for a brunch, and the portion size was generous. They have a friendly staff and an old-fashioned diner vibe. Loved everything, would totally recommend.

  It feels like you are stepping onto an elegant Italian terrace when you arrive at Italian Kitchen. Service is top notch, very professional and courteous. You must try the Squid Ink Linguine, the Beef Carpaccio, the Brussel Sprouts and Truffle meatballs. Cocktails were also lovely, I had the Rosemary seasonal one (forgot the name) and it was delicious. Thank you to Teresa and Michael for the warm service and genuine hospitality! ❤️

  My husband, 10 month old, and I ate dinner at Italian Kitchen a few nights ago and it was our favorite meal of our trip! The 100 layer lasagna was to die for and the tableside cacio e Pepe was the best pasta we’ve ever eaten. They were generous with the cheese and black truffle! Normally, we don’t like tiramisu, but Italian Kitchen’s tableside tiramisu with in house made dark chocolate was fabulous! The shining star was the service. The restaurant was baby friendly. Our waiter, Artim, was patient and attentive. The manager, Josh, was incredible. He stopped by a few times to converse with us and really made our experience feel special. Overall, Italian Kitchen will be the first reservation we make if we come back to Vancouver. We can’t recommend it enough!

  I've been coming here with my friends for a while now and it has always been a pleasant experience. The servers are always nice and friendly and provide over the top service! The food is always delicious and you can never go wrong with getting dessert afterwards. It was spot prawn season so we ordered a couple of dishes from the seasonal menu. Adam was our server tonight and he was amazing! The quality of service and food have been consistently phenomenal.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience at JOEY on Burrard! We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and everything from the delicious food to the exceptional service was absolutely amazing! A very special shoutout to our server, Rachel, who truly went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and on top of everything throughout our visit. She made sure we were well taken care of and made my husband feel extra special on his birthday! The food was delicious, as we’ve come to expect from JOEY, but it was Rachel’s warmth and outstanding hospitality that really made this visit stand out. Thank you for such a lovely birthday celebration! We will definitely be back to this location! ❤️

  Absolutely fantastic experience. Our first night in Vancouver brought us to Joey’s and it did not disappoint. We sat on the bar side and they offer a a complimentary glass of sparkling wine while we waited for our table, such a fun touch. We had a few different cocktails then my husband ordered the steak and lobster spaghetti, and I had the steak frites, it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The steak frites were delicious - the vinaigrette on the included greens offered the perfect balance to the crunchy, expertly salted fries. Karina was our server and she was fantastic. She offered suggestions, was kind, prompt and professional. Highly recommend! *EDIT* We came back two nights later because our first experience was so great and this time didn’t disappoint. Our sever was Abby and she was wonderful! Kind, attentive and gave great recommendations. And somehow the food and drinks were even better the second time around.

  Haven’t been to a Joeys in years, but came here for dinner last week and honestly loved it! Everything was so good, and the service that night was great. When checking in, we were even offered a glass of sparkling wine while we waited. We ordered the miso mushrooms — OMG, they were so good and such a nice compliment to the meal. The blackened chicken was juicy and tender, and the warm potato salad was to die for! My all time favourite is still the sushi cone. I’ve loved it since day one and can’t come to Joeys without getting it. We also got the steak and crispy nigiri. The steak tataki was so yummy, and the ponzu sauce went so well with it. The crispy nigiri, though, was not it. It just didn’t taste good to me, and I only ended up eating two pieces. Overall, I really missed this place and am glad we came back. I’ll definitely be coming more often again!

  I went there last night with my friends, and it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was loud but amazing, as it perfectly encapsulated the popularity. We ate outside, and it was nice and warm due to the heating that was on during a cold night. The food was to die for: it was delicious and amazing and worth the price. I had the Peppercorn ribeye, which was super delicious (a little bit too fatty but still super delicious), paired with a nice glass of red sangria to go with it, which was sweet and tangy and alcoholic lol. My appetizer, which was the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, was out of this world. The best part was, of course, our super sweet and nice server; she was amazing, had an amazing personality and was honestly faster than other servers that I have encountered in my life. I forgot her name, but she was amazing. The wait time for a table as well was only 20 minutes, which was nice. From the atmosphere to the staff to the food, it was amazing.

  The ravioli is surprisingly good. It's nice you can have it as an appetizer. It's almost as good as provance; but for the price it's decent. The fried chicken is ok, the mushrooms below it is good. Charcoal chicken is ok as well. The London fog creme brulee is decent.

  Waterfront location recommended. We went to the wrong cactus club. But boy, are we glad we did! Delicious food, great service, atmosphere is wonderful. Just an exceptional experience. You must try a bellini, best one I've ever had! Chose items from the happy hour menu. Teriyaki chicken bowel was exceptional. Hot chicken and pickles great. Highly recommend.

  Our group booked a reservation for Happy Hour at Joe Fortes Seafood and Chophouse. Had the chilled large prawns served with cocktail sauce and freshly grated horseradish, hot, tender, non-greasy fried squid served with chilis and a side of aioli, and a summer sangria. My first time at the restaurant; however, most of the group had been there many times in the past and stated the food was consistently good and they enjoyed their Happy Hour menu items. Service was prompt and courteous. It was a sunny Friday afternoon, the restaurant was packed, and the lively setting made it a little difficult to hear table conversations at times. Overall, the food was good, and I would go back.

  We went to Joe Fortes during a two week holiday in Vancouver with my husband to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was such a lovely evening. We had mentioned the anniversary when booking, and I was really impressed that they actually acknowledged it. They gave us a special menu wishing us a happy anniversary, and later brought us a complimentary dessert to celebrate, such a lovely touch. The service was excellent throughout. Our water glasses were constantly topped up, the team regularly checked in on us without being intrusive, and they were really helpful when recommending what to order. We had the cioppino seafood and a steak, and they arranged everything so that we could share both. The portions were absolutely huge and incredibly generous! We also had some local BC wines, which were delicious. The atmosphere was romantic without being overly formal, and although it was a Monday night, the restaurant had a great buzz without feeling too busy. Overall, a fantastic anniversary dinner with wonderful service, generous portions and lots of thoughtful touches. A really memorable evening!

  The host at the front of the restaurant is super friendly and nice. She kept updating us on the table wait and such. Our actual server was only ok. He seems to be busy with other stuff. We had to try to flag him down to get our water refilled. Went there for happy hour and oyster. Oyster is super fresh!! Portion for happy hour isn't big, but tasty. We like the fried squids and the ceviche. Coconut prawns were big prawns, but only two per serving. It was not as good as other dishes we find. They also have kids menu available.

  Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The food was incredible — fresh, beautifully prepared, and very high quality. Everything we had was delicious. What really made the evening stand out, though, was our server. She was phenomenal! So professional, genuinely friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I have celiac disease, and she went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely comfortable. She explained every dish as it came to the table, knew all of the ingredients, and knew exactly what I could and couldn’t safely eat. I never once felt like I had to worry or keep asking questions. It honestly felt like we had our own personal server taking care of us all night. She made us feel so welcome and completely spoiled! Fantastic food, exceptional service, and such a wonderful experience for our Anniversary dinner. We will absolutely be back!

  Blue Water Cafe remains the gold standard for seafood in Vancouver. The atmosphere in Yaletown is upscale, vibrant, and perfect for a special night out. The sushi from the raw bar was incredibly fresh, and the miso-sake glazed sablefish was cooked to absolute perfection. A huge thank you to our server, Melissa, who made the evening even better with her flawless, attentive hospitality. It is a premium experience, but entirely worth it! 🥩 🐟 🥂 👌🏻

  Such a fantastic seafood restaurant. We ordered a number of things - the dungeness crab roll, baked scallops, arctic char and halibut. Everything was absolutely delicious, very fresh and the fish cooked to perfection. I also wanted to give special thanks to how accommodating the kitchen was to our unusually unsettled baby - we requested for the food to come out quickly as a result and sure enough, each dish was delivered very efficiently.

  Super friendly for single customer becoz they have bar table with tiny bbq stove ! Location is very good just few walks after exit Burrard station. I felt a bit Odd of their policy, every purchase just max 8pcs sashimi ,it is call "limited" AYCE, however, the sashimi taste good and thick! Besides other dishes are umlimited order! The BBQ beef is nice, i also ordered different rolls, which is taste good, too. I recommend ordered fried chick, scallop roll, i will come again if the day i want eat sushi ! ☺

  Honestly, an amazing all you can eat buffet and my new favourite place. There was not a single thing I didn’t like; however, my favourites were the salmon sashimi, peanut butter seaweed salad, radish, scallop hand roll, deep fried scallops, deep fried gyoza, miso soup, BBQ beef short rib, and the coffee jello. Even the Shirley temple drink I got was perfect. It got a little warm with the little BBQs going but they shut it off after you are done grilling all your meat. Service was friendly and quick. We got there a couple minutes before opening and there was a small line but we got in immediately. I would definitely recommend coming here! An easy 5 stars!
